RCMP investigate alleged Nanaimo school assault

The Superintendent of School District 68 says the students involved in an incident Friday were sent home and will not return until an investigation is complete.
Three 17 year old boys are under investigation following an alleged assault at John Barsby Community School.
RCMP Constable Gary O’Brien says a 15 year old boy was assaulted last Friday morning and the police school liaison started an investigation right away…..
While the investigation continues, O’Brien says police are monitoring the situation both inside and outside the school.
The boy was taken to local hospital following the assault, he was suffering from bruising and a concussion.
