RCMP are looking for vandals responsible for toppling over and breaking numerous tombstones at a historic graveyard locatedĀ on Pioneer Road near Herd Road.
Many of these graves and tombstones belong to the first settlers of the Cowichan Valley – and have been there since the mid 1800s. Corporal Krista Hobday says a lack of respect for those who have gone before us is inexcusable.
The incident took place sometimeĀ after the night of SaturdayĀ June 4th and before June 6th.
Report any information to local RCMP or Crimestoppers.
