The proposed National Marine Conservation Area, running from the south end of the Island to Gabriola, appears to be moving forward.
Laurie Gourlay is a spokesperson with the Vancouver Island and Coast Conservation Society….
Gourlay says the boundary of the protected area hasn’t really been determined yet.
He says anyone interested in the plan should get in touch with his organization or Parks Canada to see what meetings might be coming up.
