If you plan on going out camping, make sure you secure your garbage to avoid a conflict with wildlife.

The B-C Conservation Officer Service is emphasizing the importance of this after an incident in the Squamish Valley, where a grizzly bear was able to access garbage left behind by campers.

Deputy Chief Chris Doyle says this event is a good reminder for campers to be as safe as possible…

Doyle says it’s important to pack your garbage out of your campsite before you leave.
