Fire in North Oyster

Update on North Oyster Fire
Fire Officials are asking the public to stay clear of Doole Road in North Oyster as they continue to fight a two hectare fire in that area. The fire started in an active forestry area , with lots of slash and logs in the area.
North Oyster Fire Chief Jason Layman says eight regional fire halls and BC Forestry helicopters are working together to keep the fire contained to that area.
No home are currently being threatened by this fire, however fire officials continue to monitor the situation. The cause is still under investigation.
