Health Canada approves naloxone nasal spray
Health Canada, as an emergency health measure to the current opioid crisis, will be temporarily allowing a naloxone nasal spray to be sold in Canada.
The spray will be an alternative to the naloxone injectable kits that are currently available.
Dr. Paul Hasselback is the Medical Health Officer for Central Vancouver Island….
Hasselback figures the spray, when it does become available, will likely cost more than the kits that are currently available.
The province of BC has been in a state of public health emergency as a result of an increasing number of opioid deaths since early April.
