Permanent emergency weather shelter for Ladysmith

It looks like a permanent emergency weather shelter may be coming on line for the Town of Ladysmith.
Marsh Stevens, president of the Board of Directors for the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association says a temporary shelter set up last winter was much busier than had been anticipated…..
Now BC Housing has stepped up to provide a more permanent location for an emergency weather shelter.
It’s in the basement of Rialto Manor on 1st Avenue.
An information meeting about the plan will be held Monday night and members of the public are invited to attend.
It’s at the LRCA boardroom from 5 to 7.
