Trades students at Vancouver Island University will benefit from a new investment of better than 187 thousand dollars in industry-standard trades-training equipment.
The new funding will be used to purchase equipment in a number of programs including automotive, refrigeration and air conditioning, welding, electrical, carpentry and heavy-mechanical trades to help students with hands-on learning opportunities.

The province will also hand over 4 point 85 million dollars in continued support for almost 1,400 trades seats.
