The Minister of Health has announced a review of the I-Health system will be done.
We talked to the Minister, Terry Lake about the system earlier this week after healthcare staff suggested someone could die as a result of the system.
The NDP were calling for the system to be suspended while a third party review is done.
Lake says there are always bugs to work out when you are on the leading edge of technology….
The announcement comes following a meeting with Health Minister Terry Lake, Island Health CEO Brendan Carr and a number of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital physicians and staff, as well as representatives of the ministry.
Results of the review are expected by the end of September.
