Police try to sort out stories

Police are still working on the case of a serious assault in Chemainus that happened 10 days ago.
A lone man was attacked by two men as he walked down Victoria Road in Chemainus around suppertime.
Corporal Krista Hobday says since the report was broadcast police have spoken to two of the men who were involved in the incident….
Police do not feel there are any threats to public safety and are continuing with their investigation.
There are no charges being recommended at this time.

In an unrelated incident, police are investigating the disappearance of two large decorative planters.
The planters were in front of Pots and Paraphernalia on Canada Avenue in Duncan.
Police are not sure how the planters would have been moved as each weighs about 500 pounds.
