United Way gives Big Brothers Big Sisters a boost

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cowichan Valley is getting 10,400 dollars to help fund 3 programs in the Valley in 2016-2017.
The money is coming to the organization from the United Way.
The United Way’s Kyla Karakochuck says the programs include the Go Girls mentoring program to provide girls between the ages of 11 and 14 with activities that promote active living, healthy eating, leadership skills and boost confidence…

United Way has been partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cowichan Valley for over 16 years.
