The MLA for the North Island is working to address concerns about access to crown land being blocked by logging companies.
Claire Trevena says she’s heard from residents that have been surprised to find logging roads and back roads blocked by access gates.
Trevena says it is important that gates are put in place for safety reasons when companies are actively logging, but when the area is not being used it should be open to the public to access.
