There will soon be a new way to get around Qualicum Beach.
Daniel Sailland, Qualicum Beach CAO says the community is one of two where a new pilot project will allow golf carts to operate on certain local roads.
The other community in the pilot project is Chase.
The golf carts will need to meet some conditions, and anyone operating one will have to have a valid driver’s license.
The change comes into effect next month.
