Investigation into head on crash continues

Mechanical inspections will be conducted on both vehicles involved in a head on collision at Cedar Road and Highway 1 yesterday (Mon).
Constable Gary O’Brien says he can’t yet comment on how a head on collision could happen at that intersection…..
The 35 year man, most seriously injured in the crash remains in critical condition and has been transferred to hospital in Victoria.

In the meantime, O’Brien says although many drivers were extremely vocal with investigators about the delay, others were more appreciative…

O’Brien says when there is a collision in which a driver or passenger has sustained significant injuries, investigators need time to determine the cause of the accident.
O’Brien says that’s time consuming but necessary.
