Cleaning up a Heritage River

The 8th annual river clean up goes tomorrow (Sat).
Jill Thompson, organizer of the cleanup and Cowichan Watershed Board Assistant says there are numerous reasons why it’s important to clean up the river…..
She says it’s gratifying at the end of the day to see the trucks full of garbage that won’t be floating down the river when the rains come.
The event starts at 10 from the Little Big House on Cowichan Tribes Land and there will be signs posted in downtown Duncan pointing in the direction of the starting point.
