North Cowichan adds a pair of EV’s to the fleet

North Cowichan has added two zero-emissions battery electric vehicles to its corporate fleet.

Iain Bell, Manager of Operations says he got a good deal on the cars by piggybacking with some other municipalities on a tender….

 

Bell says the vehicles don’t cost much to operate, basically needing only wiper fluid.

The Municipality also expects to save a rough estimate of $8,000 in maintenance costs per vehicle over a 10 year period
