Police search for missing man continues

The RCMP helicopter and Underwater Recovery Team along with the Cowichan Valley Ground Search and Rescue Team are searching the water and shoreline in Cowichan Lake for a missing person.
Sargeant Wes Olsen says police were called Sunday evening around quarter to 7 after a man in distress was seen in the water between Youbou and the Maple Grove Campground on Cowichan Lake….
Olsen says the RCMP made an immediate patrol of the area in the police boat but didn’t find anyone.
Olsen says police do have a report of an overdue boater but no other information is being released.
