School districts get money for transportation

The Nanaimo Ladysmith school district is still working through their transportation policy review.
But right in the middle of it, the province announced an additional 15 million dollars in funding to help school districts deal with transportation costs and services.
School District 68 is eligible for better than 244,000 dollars as a result of the announcement.
Board Chair, Steve Rae says it’s not a big chunk of cash when you look at the total budget but it’s still welcome….
The Cowichan Valley School District is eligible for better than 283,000 dollars.
