Body of a man found at Cowichan Lake

The body of a 49 year old Duncan man has been pulled from Cowichan Lake.
He was last seen alive Sunday evening, in the water, in distress, more than 300 metres from shore.
A witness tried to row out to the man but couldn’t find him.
The RCMP helicopter and Underwater Recovery Team along with the Cowichan Valley Ground Search and Rescue Team helped in the search.
Police suspect the man was out in a small boat when the wind picked up and the water got rough.
No name has been released.
