Call display not always accurate

Oceanside RCMP say you can’t trust your call display.

Corporal Jesse Foreman says they have fielded several calls from residents over the last couple of days who say they have gotten calls from someone trying to claim there is an arrest warrant out for them as a result of unpaid taxes or an immigration issue…..

Mounties say the scams are becoming alarmingly common in North America with the use of Caller ID Spoofing Software and they are getting more sophisticated in nature.
