71 year old man dies following weekend crash

The 71 year old man, who was driving a pick up truck that was struck by a delivery truck near Chemainus a week ago, has died from his injuries.
Witnesses told police the Purolator truck was north bound on the Trans Canada Highway around 9:30 in the evening when the pick-up made a left hand turn in front of the truck.
Two other people in the pick-up, a 43 year old woman and an 49 year old man, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Purolator truck driver was not injured.
The driver of the pick up died from his injuries this past Tuesday.

Charges have not been laid.
