T-bone collision sends 2 children to hospital

Two 6 year olds were taken to hospital following a collision on Highway 4a near the Coombs market this morning (Thurs).

RCMP say it happened around 9:45.

One 6 year old girl was taken by helicopter to hospital, but mounties say it looks like she will be okay.

The other child was taken to Nanaimo hospital with minor injuries.

Police say a car was coming out of a driveway and was struck by another passing by on the highway.

The incident is still under investigation.
