Cowichan Valley families will have one less expense as kids head back to school next week.
The province handed out over 15 million dollars to school districts across BC to help make transportation more affordable. Cowichan Valley School District received over 283 thousand dollars, and were able to eliminate bussing fees for all local students.
SuperIntendent Rod Allen says it was a good decision by the province.
Allen says families will save approximately 200 dollars in bussing fees per student for the school year.
