Major trial began today in Nanaimo

Jury selection is underway this afternoon for the man accused in the April 2014 shootings at the Western Forest Products mill in Nanaimo.
49 year old Kevin Douglas Addison, a former employee at the mill, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of mill employees Michael Lunn and Fred McEachern.

He is also facing two counts of attempted murder with a firearm.

The trial is expected to begin immediately following the jury selection.

It is scheduled to go until October 14th.
