The RCMP Explosive Device Unit has determined a grenade that was found in a home during a search was inoperable and posed no threat to the officers or general public.

The search, which up to that point had netted police cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, had to be put on hold while the Explosive Unit was called in.
Of the four adults arrested, a 56 year old Nanaimo man, remains in police custody.
