Noise issues continue at track in Sahtlam area

It’s back to the drawing board for staff at the Municipality of North Cowichan when it comes to the noise complaints about a racetrack in the Sahtlam area.

According to staff, they’ve been unable to get the parties to agree on terms for a joint study, and the GAIN Group has now proceeded with commissioning, what they call, an independent study.

The problem, according to Sahtlam resident, Mariah Wallener is that the North Cowichan council is no further ahead on the issue than they were a couple of council meetings ago….

Council has asked staff to try again to seek agreement on the parameters and funding requirements to conduct a joint noise study between the Municipality, Sahtlam Neighbourhood Association, and the GAIN Group.
