4,000 expected to attend One World

13 new Syrian families moved into the Cowichan Valley over the past year.
Pema Rigzin, development coordinator for the Cowichan Intercultural Society says some of those new residents will participate in the One World Festival which goes this weekend….
As many as 4,000 people are expected to come out to the One World Festival on the grounds next to VIU.
The event features films, exhibits, performances, food vendors and the popular fashion show.
Saturday morning features the popular Walk of Nations from the silver bridge to the Festival grounds and as many as 500 people take part in the annual Walk.
