It may not be too long before the City of Nanaimo will be running larger fleets of natural gas powered vehicles.
Fortis BC and Mid Island Co-op have worked together to open the first commercial cardlock with compressed natural gas in BC and it’s in Nanaimo.
Mayor Bill McKay says that’s good news for the City….
Natural gas powered vehicles are less expensive to operate, are much quieter than diesel vehicles and have lower emissions.
Fortis BC has some incentive programs in place for municipalities who want to switch their fleets to natural gas.
