The BC Thanksgiving Food Drive raised over 11,300 lbs of food for local food banks.
The Cowichan Basket Society and Church of the Latter Day Saints teamed up for the big fall food drive, and canvassed over 55 hundred homes.
Manager of the Society Colleen Fuller says they have collected enough food to last till Christmas, but if you’re still looking to help out, they are in need of kids lunch snacks.
The food collected was distributed among food banks across the Valley. Donations can still be dropped off at anytime to the Cowichan Baskey Society.
