Local Mammography Tech Wins Award

A member of the team at the Cowichan District Hospital is being recognized provincially for her work in mammography screening.
Barb Nugent has over 30 years experience working with women in the Cowichan Valley on a personal level. She was recently awarded the Screening Technologist of the Year Award by the BC Cancer Agency’s Screening Mammography Program.
Nugent explains the importance of treating women with respect, courtesy and compassion in her field.
