The UBCM convention gets going today (Mon) in Victoria.

The 1200, or so, delegates will talk about marijuana sales and tax sharing opportunities, but also issues surrounding community safety and transportation like bicycle lanes and passenger rail service.
They’ll also talk about environmental issues, like oil spill response and watershed protection among a raft of other issues.

CVRD officials will be attending the UBCM convention and looking to bend the ear of a variety of ministers.
They want to meet with the Minister of Health to talk about a Cowichan District Hospital replacement.
