The Cowichan Lake Community Garden have settled on a new home at Ravine Park.
Director of the Community Garden Society Cara Smith says the town has been extremely helpful and accommodating with the transition by leveling the land, rebuilding the fence, and assisting in transportation of existing infrastructure. However, as expected, not all of the garden can be moved.
The garden was forced to move from their Centennial Park location after the town received a federal grant for park improvements that did not include the garden. The move must be completed by mid-October.
