CVRD Recycling Campaign Boasts Big Results

The CVRD has noticed a dramatic improvement in recycling contamination since the launch of their education campaign Recycle 2.0.
An audit showed contamination decreased from 25-percent in March to just 10-percent in September.
Solid Waste Operations Superintendent Jason Adair says he is amazed at the response from Cowichan residents.
The CVRD have launched a new educational video on their Facebook Page and website to help the public understand curbside recycling better.
The campaign and future audits will be rolled out throughout the regional district in coming months.
