Despite an increase in the population and more packaging in consumer products residents of the CVRD have managed to keep their garbage to a minimum.
Tauseef Waraich says the amount of garbage sent to the landfill declined more than 5 tonnes over the last decade.
He says there are plans in the works to help residents do even better….
A report is expected yet this year on the possibilities for those items.
