Worksafe BC in the spotlight

A Worksafe B-C spokesperson is meeting with students in the region to talk about workplace safety.
Nick Perry was injured in a workplace accident when he was 19, leaving him an incomplete paraplegic.
He says it’s important to talk to both young workers and employers about rights and responsibilities and to also show young workers about how an injury can impact the rest of your life…
According to WorkSafe B-C, 69-hundred young workers were injured on the job in B-C last year.
Perry says by telling his story, he hopes to prevent another young person from going through what he and his family went through after he was injured
