Free Tree Planting Event on Saturday

A new non-profit is hosting an event to get families talking about nature and learning about trees.
TREE is hosting a free family tree planting event this Saturday. They have one hundred trees you can plant by yourself or with your child with the help of an experienced tree person.
Co-founder of TREE Danya Hillyard says their goal is to plant as many trees as possible, but also to raise awareness.
The event is free and takes place at 225 Inlet Drive in Mill Bay from 2-4pm tomorrow. There will be tents set up for the rainy weather, plus hot chocolate and a toasty fire!
Head to the TREE Facebook Page for more information.
