A boil water advisory in Chemainus will stay in effect through the weekend.
North Cowichan issued the advisory last Saturday as a precautionary measure due to turbidity levels.
Chemainus water users should bring water to a rolling boil for at least a minute before using it for cooking, drinking or brushing teeth. It’s still safe to wash clothes or bathe without boiling.
An update is expected on Monday.
