A house fire near the Laughing Llama in Mill Bay closed down the highway heading south earlier today. Emergency services, RCMP and local fire departments attended the event.
Traffic was rerouted through Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road or Cobble Hill Road.
As of 3pm, the highway has opened to one lane but motorists can still expect delays.
The highway is expected to fully reopen by 4pm.
