Progress Made on BC Justice System

A Vancouver Litigation lawyer says the province is making progress on a number of fronts when it comes to the justice system.
Four years ago the province commissioned Geoffrey Cowper, a Vancouver litigation lawyer, to review the justice system in B.C.

In an update on his recommendations from that review, Cowper says progress has been made on timeliness, transparency, the early resolution process and all the players in the system are working more efficiently.

However, he says there are some outstanding issues…

The number of breech cases are also on the rise.

He says the province still needs to take a good look at options for restorative justice. (sv oct 20-16)
