CVRD goes to court

The Cowichan Valley Regional District has started a petition in the BC Supreme Court against a property on Shawnigan Lake Road.
The CVRD is set to argue the owners use of the property, in the 3100 block, does not comply with the District’s Zoning Bylaw.
The property is being used for the milling, processing and storage of wood and wood products and the District is asking the court for an injunction to stop the owner from using the property as such.

There has also been a building constructed on the property that the District says there is no permit for and the CVRD is asking the court for an order to have the building removed.
