Group looks to establish community workshop

The Cowichan Elder Care Co-op is looking to sign up some new members who have hobbies that would require a workshop.
That’s after the Co-op and the Cowichan Station Area Association, which operates the HUB , signed a Memorandum of Understanding to plan and create the region s first Community Workshop.
Roger Hart, Cowichan Elder Care Co-op Chair says they need some interested parties to build a temporary workshop for starters….
The idea for creating the Workshop in the Cowichan Valley was spearheaded by an Elder Care Co-op Member, who, like many seniors, are downsizing their home and, in the process are losing their workshop.
Hart says the model the Co-op has looked at in East Vancouver charges members pay a fee to use the facility anytime.
If you want to get involved, you can call Roger Hart at 250-715-3039.
