Nanaimo air ambulance service shifts for construction

Until early in the new year BC’s Air Ambulance service will be landing at the heliport at the Nanaimo Port Authority rather than at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
That’s because, according to Rick Hill, with Helijet there’s some work being done at the hospital…..

Hill says the change will likely add about 10 minutes to the trip to the hospital, depending on traffic, as patients will have to be taken by land from the heliport to the hospital.
The construction at the hospital should be done early in the new year.
