City of Nanaimo eyes WHL franchise

There are lots of questions yet that have to be answered before the City of Nanaimo starts construction on a new events centre.
Gary Green of Brisbin Brook Beynon Architects, the firm hired to look into such a project for Nanaimo says having a WHL franchise as an anchor attraction is critical to its success but an events centre could be much more for the community……
 
 
Mayor Bill McKay says he’s looking forward to the public consultation process….
 
 
The issue is expected to come back to council December 19th.
