Province Boosts Three Duncan Businesses To Promote Buying Local

The province handed out over 30 thousand dollars to three local businesses in the Cowichan Valley through the Buy Local Program. Each recipient is also required to match the contribution from the government.
Ag Minister Norm Letnick says these businesses promote buying local, support the local economy and creates jobs.
Hope Farm Healing Centre received $14,400 to increase sales with brand development and update their website.
Averill Creek Vineyard got $10,985 to expand their brand awareness and advertise the Cowichan Valley as a wine destination.
And the Duncan Farmer’s Market got over $6318 to help promote the market and increase sales during the winter months.
