Charges laid following 2015 fatal crash

Charges have been laid following a year long investigation into a fatal two vehicle crash in Yellow Point.

In November, last year, a 53 year old Yellow Point woman was killed in the collision.

40 year old Dustin Dennis Zinter was arrested early this month in Nanaimo and when police picked him up he was believed to be driving while impaired, so he faces an additional charge of failing to provide a breath sample.

Zinter is facing a variety of criminal code charges related to the fatal collision, including dangerous driving causing death and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
