250 volunteer spots left to fill

The Cowichan Valley Salvation Army Kettle Campaign is aiming to raise 80,000 dollars.
Don Bazinet says they actually surpassed that number last year…..
Bazinet says he could still use some volunteers to help staff the kettles at the various locations in and around Duncan.
Anyone who can volunteer just two hours of their time can call Bazinet at 732-8988.
There has been some talk about whether or not the volunteers should be able to collect money from credit and debit cards by using card readers on location, but Bazinet says that’s not going to happen.
He says, for those who don’t have cash, you can put a cheque in the kettle and a tax deductible receipt will promptly be mailed out.
The campaign runs until December 24th.
