A wind warning in effect again today (Wed) for East Vancouver Island.
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected as an intense Pacific front approaches the south coast this evening.
Winds could hit 70 kilometers an hour.
Environment Canada says the wind is likely to be strongest north of Nanaimo with gusts to 90 kilometers an hour.
Winds will gradually diminish overnight as the front moves to the east.
