Public meeting to discuss drainage and flooding

The North Cowichan Agricultural Advisory Committee says issues like drainage and flooding are all too common during the winter season.
Council is hosting a town hall meeting to learn more about what drainage issues farmers face on a regular basis, how these issues are currently dealt with, and what kind of support is needed.
Community Planning Coordinator Natasha Horsman says the big picture is a widespread water issue, but this town hall will focus on what farmers experience during winter months.
The meeting takes place tonight (Monday) from 5-7pm at the Cowichan Valley Inn. Representatives from CVRD and the province will also be attending.
