RCMP in Nanaimo exercise search warrants

Search warrants, carried out on two homes in Nanaimo have resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, weapons and various other stolen items.
With the knowledge there may be weapons and an illegal clandestine lab, the Vancouver Island Emergency Response Team and the RCMP’s E Division Clan Lab Team were involved.
No issues were encountered upon entry to the homes in the 300 block of 9th Street and the 13000 block of Cedar Road, and no injuries were reported.

Two adults may face criminal charges including 40 year old Colin Lamontagne of Nanaimo.

Lamontagne is facing charges of manslaughter from an incident in Victoria and now he will also be facing aggravated assault, forcible confinement and breach of his recognizance charges.
Weapons and several high end stolen vehicles have been seized.
