Icy roads, no serious accidents

A fresh blanket of snow is expected to hit our region on Thursday.
In the meantime, what has fallen so far, along with the melting and colder temperatures has left the roads icy and slippery.
In Nanaimo RCMP say they’ve attended to about a dozen accidents mostly as a result of motorists travelling too fast for the road conditions.
There have been no serious injuries.
